​​ Booking & Accommodation at Dove Cote Lodge Camping (Selby, North Yorkshire)

How do I book a pitch?

Visit our Book a Pitch page and fill out the enquiry form. We will contact you promptly. A 25% deposit is required and will secure your booking. The full balance is due 4–6 weeks before arrival.

 

Can I hire the whole site?

Yes. Exclusive hire includes all five pitches for up to 25 guests. Minimum stay is two nights.

Can we book exclusive hires on weekdays?

Exclusive hire is available any day of the week. Check the calendar or contact us directly.

Can I book a single pitch on a weekend without hiring the whole site?

Yes. Check for availability on the booking a pitch page or send us a message. We’re a small, quiet campsite ideal for families, couples, solo campers and walkers.

Is the site family-friendly?

Absolutely. Children are welcome. We ask guests to observe quiet hours from 10 pm to keep the site calm for everyone.

Do you allow caravans or motorhomes?

No. Our site is suitable for tents, Tent-Boxes, and standard-sized campervans only.

Are electric hook-ups available?

Yes — EHUs are available for £5 per pitch per night.

Do you accept last‑minute bookings?

Yes, if we have availability. For same‑day or next‑day stays, send us a quick WhatsApp message, text or email us and we’ll confirm as soon as possible.

How do I pay for my stay?

A 25% no-refundable deposit is taken at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 4–6 weeks before arrival. Payments are made securely online.

Facilities & Extras at Our Selby Campsite

What facilities are available?

  • Heated men's and ladies' toilets with showers and sinks

  • Urinals in the men's toilet

  • Covered washing-up area with provided utensils

  • Under-counter fridge and freezer

  • Communal firepit & BBQ

  • Logs and BBQ items for sale (no personal fire pits permitted)

Can we have a campfire or BBQ?

  • BBQs: Allowed only if raised off the ground AND used in a safe, open area away from tents, trees, fences and dry ground.

  • Campfires: Not permitted.

  • You are welcome to use our communal fire pit, which is safely positioned and monitored.

 

Are dogs allowed?

Yes — well-behaved dogs are welcome. Must be kept on a lead at all times, especially near the access road for safety of your pets and ours. Please clean up after them and use the designated bins.

Do you have Wi-Fi on site?

We don’t offer Wi-Fi. Most networks get a good 4G signal, and guests usually enjoy the chance to switch off and enjoy the countryside.

Can we bring our own fire pit?

Not permitted.

 

Do you have recycling and waste facilities?

Yes — clearly labelled bins for general waste and recycling are provided. Please help us keep the site tidy and wildlife‑friendly.

 

Do you have drinking water on site?

Yes — drinking water is available for all guests.

Is Dove Cote Lodge Camping accessible?

Is there parking on site?

Yes — each pitch has space for one vehicle. Additional vehicles may be possible by arrangement.

Arrival Information & Site Policies

I haven’t received a reply:

  • Please check your spam folder — our messages occasionally land there, especially the first time. You’re also welcome to WhatsApp and text us for a quick nudge.

What time is check-in and check-out?

  • Check-in: From 3:00 pm (self‑check‑in instructions provided before arrival)

  • Check-out: By 11:00 am​

Can we arrive earlier than the stated arrival time?

Unfortunately, early arrivals aren’t possible as we need time for thorough cleaning and preparation of the campsite and facilities.

Can I leave later than the departure time?

Regrettably, late departures aren’t possible. We need time to reset the site for incoming guests.

Are there any noise restrictions?

  • Yes — quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Low‑level music is fine during the day, but please switch it off by 10 pm. No amplified music, generators, drones, fireworks or projectors.

Are children welcome?

Yes — families are very welcome. We’re a small, safe site with plenty of space for children to enjoy the outdoors. Please supervise children around the fire pit and facilities.

Where is Dove Cote Lodge located?

In Cliffe‑cum‑Lund, near Selby, North Yorkshire—10 minutes from Selby, 30 minutes from York.

Are there walking or cycling routes nearby?

Yes—a public footpath starts nearby, and we’re close to the Trans Pennine Trail.

Are there shops or pubs within walking distance?

Yes — Cherry Tree Stores, The New Inn pub, a butcher, Londis and a post office are all within walking distance in Hemingbrough.

Dove Cote Lodge Camping Overview

We offer five peaceful pitches for tents, Tent-Boxes and standard-sized campervans only. The site is serene, self-check-in, and ideal for families, couples, and small group bookings. Facilities include clean restrooms, showers, waste and recycling bins, a washing-up area with fridge/freezer, and logs/BBQ equipment for sale.
