Booking & Accommodation at Dove Cote Lodge Camping (Selby, North Yorkshire)
How do I book a pitch?
Via our Book a Pitch page. Fill out the Enquiry Form and we will contact you. A 25% deposit is required at booking. The full balance is due 4–6 weeks before arrival.
Can I hire the whole site?
Yes, exclusive site hire includes all five pitches for up to 25 guests. Minimum stay is two nights.
Can we only book exclusive hires on weekends?
Exclusive bookings are available any day of the week—check the calendar or contact us directly to enquire.
Can I book a single pitch on a weekend?
Yes, check for availability on the booking a pitch page, or drop us a message. We’re a small, quiet campsite ideal for families, couples and walkers.
Is the site family-friendly?
Absolutely! Children are welcome. We ask guests to observe quiet hours from 10 pm to keep the site calm for all.
Do you allow caravans or motorhomes?
No. Our site is suitable for tents, tent boxes, and campervans only.
Are electric hook-ups available?
Yes—electric hook-ups (EHUs) are available for £5 per pitch per night.
Do you accept last‑minute bookings?
Yes — if we have availability. For same‑day or next‑day stays, please send us a quick WhatsApp message and we’ll confirm as soon as possible.
How do I pay for my stay?
A 25% deposit is taken at the time of booking, and the remaining balance is due 4–6 weeks before arrival. Payments are made securely online.

Campfires: Not permitted, to protect wildlife and preserve the peaceful atmosphere, however we do have a communal firepit that you are welcome to use
Are dogs allowed??
Yes! We welcome well-behaved dogs. Please keep them on leads while on site. Please clean up after them and use the designated bins.
Do you have Wi-Fi on site?
We don’t offer Wi-Fi — most networks get a good 4G signal here, and guests usually enjoy the chance to switch off and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Can we bring our own fire pit?
You’re welcome to bring a raised fire bowl. Ground fires aren’t permitted to protect the land and wildlife. You’re also welcome to use our communal fire pit.
Do you have recycling and waste facilities?
Yes — we provide clearly labelled bins for general waste and recycling. Please help us keep the site tidy and wildlife‑friendly.
Do you have drinking water on site?
Yes — there is a drinking water tap available for all guests.
Is there parking on site?
Yes — each pitch has space for one vehicle. Additional vehicles may be possible by arrangement.

What time is check-in and check-out?

You’ll receive self-check-in instructions before arrival.

Can we arrive earlier than the stated arrival time?
Unfortunately, early arrivals aren’t possible as we need time for thorough cleaning and preparation of the campsite and facilities.
Can I leave later than the departure time?
Regrettably, the departure time is fixed to allow us to clean and reset the site for incoming guests. Late departures impact the flow and comfort of others.
Are there any noise restrictions?

Yes—quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

Low‑level music is fine during the day, but we ask guests to switch it off by 10pm to keep the site peaceful for everyone. No amplified music, generators, drones, fireworks, or disposable BBQs.
Are children welcome?
Yes — families are very welcome. We’re a small, safe site with plenty of space for children to enjoy the outdoors. Please supervise children around the fire pit and facilities.

Are there walking or cycling routes nearby?
Yes—a public footpath starts nearby, and we’re close to the Trans Pennine Trail.
Are there shops or pubs within walking distance?
Yes — Cherry Tree Stores, The New Inn pub, a butcher, Londis and a post office are all within walking distance in Hemingbrough.
